libgnome crashed during build. It was looking for libltdl.so.3

did: ln -s /usr/lib/libltdl.so /usr/lib/libltdl.so.3

lin -cr libgnome then proceeded to finish without error.

I've just successfully installed libgnomedb-3.1.2
on a freshly installed 1.6.5-rc1-x86_64 system.

libgnome-2.30.0 is already installed by lin gnome2

lvu from libltdl.so shows it comes from libtool-2.2.10

Is this still an open issue?

borked modules.  I have done lvu unedit gtk+-2 and restored it to version

dottle: is this still a problem for you?

glade2 doesn't build for me after a 1.6.5-rc1-x86_64 ISO install,
but as far as I can see, only angband and glademm depend on it,
and nothing depends on either of them. (see lvu leert glade2).

Linux-PAM needs to relocate it's PAM module test suite to $SOURCE_DIRECTORY
or any other appropriate place but /tmp. Otherwise the test suite is going

Thanks for the suggestion, but there appears to be no interest in FreeIPA

I've just successfully installed libgnomedb-3.1.2
on a freshly installed 1.6.5-rc1-x86_64 system.

libgnome-2.30.0 is already installed by lin gnome2

lvu from libltdl.so shows it comes from libtool-2.2.10

Is this still an open issue?

Linux-PAM needs to relocate it's PAM module test suite to $SOURCE_DIRECTORY
or any other appropriate place but /tmp. Otherwise the test suite is going
to bail out because it cannot execute it's scripts nested inside /tmp.

on download. replacing the $SFORGE_URL with

Oke, 

That is the problem.
gphoto2 puts the header files in usr/include/ghoto2.
And gvfs looks for the header files in /usr/include.
See file gvfsbackendphoto2.c. There is a line #<include gpghoto2> 

Manually changing the file did not help. The change is overwritten by the
make process.

Someone any idea how to solve this ?

file being broken unless libexif is installed.

Summary:                    Diffstat 1.15 not found when switching coretool from
theedge to lunar
Description: 
I installed the latest RC ISO.
I tried to switch the coretool from thedge to lunar.
I got I error saying diffstat.tar.gz did not had the right sha1sum.
It was right, by default it downloaded the latest diffstat-1.53
I modified the diffstat/DETAIL file to be more specific about which version
it get.
I joined my 'fixed' file.

This is not a problem with lunar. That mirror seem to be outdated. Pick
another
or turn on exhaustive mirror option. I had no problem downloading acpid
from the other sourceforge mirrors available.

# lin -rc docbook-sgml
# lin -rc docbook-utils

Maybe there's a minor problem with order of build of dependencies
causing different configuration options to be set, but I consider
this resolved.

This isn't a bug. If you use sudo, don't do "$ sudo lunar renew", doing so
will
not properly load the root user environment. Instead always
use "$ sudo -i" or "$ su -" and then execute "$ lunar renew".

monodevelop has moved on to version 2.4 since this bug report,
and gtksourceview-sharp is now at 2.0-0.12 but *it* failed to
build with a similar problem about PrintJob and PrintDialog.
I've just kludged gtksourceview-sharp to work round this, and
monodevelop-2.4 now builds on freshly installed 1.6.5 system.

This is not a problem with lunar. That mirror seem to be outdated. Pick
another
or turn on exhaustive mirror option. I had no problem downloading acpid
from the other sourceforge mirrors available.

lin bridge-utils does not report any error but the application is not built
because of missing headers.

I failed to build bridge-utils with:
 - linux-2.6.31.6
 - kernel-headers-2.6.30.7

I successfully built bridge-utils with:
 - linux-2.6.31.6
 - kernel-headers-2.6.31.6

Ratler has confirmed that the latest 1.6.5 ISO (for both i686 and x86_64)
contains kernels configured with CONFIG_BLK_DEV_DM and CONFIG_DM_CRYPT,
but it isn't possible to support cryptsetup without an initrd option,
which doesn't yet exist, and there are no current plans to implement it.

Unless there is additional feedback, this report will be closed within
the next two weeks.

I completed my first install of Lunar, today.

My router is connected to my box, via the usb port.

In order for networking to work correctly, I needed to add |^usb[0-9]\| to
the connect.lunar file.  Unfortunately this didn't seem to be persistant,
after further config/ reboots.  

As i'm new to Lunar, I'm not sure why that is.

Please could usb be added to this file by default, like it is for eth0,
etc?

Description: 
http://lunar-linux.org/lunar/lunar.tar.bz2 has a
lunar/var/lib/lunar/functions/download.lunar which contains:
tail -s 0.0 ...

That 0.0 means that tail totally hogs the CPU while lin is just running
wget (as "top" shows), which is a pointless waste of CPU resource, so
change 0.0 to 0.1

Some bad logic within the add_module function causes it to fail permanently
and silently whenever the packages file is empty (I'm playing with a 32bit
chroot).

The culprit is on line 512 of modules.lunar in the add_module function:

  grep -v "^$1:" $MODULE_STATUS_BACKUP > $MODULE_STATUS 2>/dev/null &&

The logic in the line is such that if the file is empty, and since the -v
switch is used on grep, there are *no* matching lines, and grep returns a
non-zero status in turn causing the entire function to exit before it
inserts the new module information into the file.

glade2 doesn't build for me after a 1.6.5-rc1-x86_64 ISO install,
but as far as I can see, only angband and glademm depend on it,
and nothing depends on either of them. (see lvu leert glade2).

alternatively, try using the following:

which can be permanently set into lunar like this:

Summary:                    /var/state/lunar/packages never updates if empty.
Description: 
Some bad logic within the add_module function causes it to fail permanently
and silently whenever the packages file is empty (I'm playing with a 32bit
chroot).

The culprit is on line 512 of modules.lunar in the add_module function:

  grep -v "^$1:" $MODULE_STATUS_BACKUP > $MODULE_STATUS 2>/dev/null &&

The logic in the line is such that if the file is empty, and since the -v
switch is used on grep, there are *no* matching lines, and grep returns a
non-zero status in turn causing the entire function to exit before it
inserts the new module information into the file.

That 0.0 means that tail totally hogs the CPU while lin is just running
wget (as "top" shows), which is a pointless waste of CPU resource, so
change 0.0 to 0.1

Hi,

I completed my first install of Lunar, today.

My router is connected to my box, via the usb port.

In order for networking to work correctly, I needed to add |^usb[0-9]\| to
the connect.lunar file.  Unfortunately this didn't seem to be persistant,
after further config/ reboots.  

As i'm new to Lunar, I'm not sure why that is.

Please could usb be added to this file by default, like it is for eth0,
etc?

monodevelop has moved on to version 2.4 since this bug report,
and gtksourceview-sharp is now at 2.0-0.12 but *it* failed to
build with a similar problem about PrintJob and PrintDialog.
I've just kludged gtksourceview-sharp to work round this, and
monodevelop-2.4 now builds on freshly installed 1.6.5 system.

This isn't a bug. If you use sudo, don't do "$ sudo lunar renew", doing so
will
not properly load the root user environment. Instead always
use "$ sudo -i" or "$ su -" and then execute "$ lunar renew".
